COOKIE POLICY

For information regarding the use of cookies visit the section “The use of cookies and similar technologies”.

THE USE OF COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES
This section describes the manner of use of cookies and similar technologies adopted by Barchessa Rossetti and third parties.

DEFINITIONS
Cookies are short strings of text that a website, when visited by a user, sends to the user’s browser, where they are memorised so that they can be re-sent to the same websites the next time the same user visits them. During browsing of a site, the user’s browser may also receive cookies sent by different websites or web servers (known as ‘third parties’), on which certain elements regarding the site that the user is visiting may be found.

Duration if cookies
Some session cookies remain active only until the browser is closed, while others remain active after the browser is closed and are still available during subsequent accesses.  Such cookies are known as persistent and their duration is set by the server when they are created.  In some cases, an expiry date is set, while in other cases their duration is unlimited.

Type of cookies
For the purposes of the regulations contained in the Privacy Code, cookies are divided into two macro-categories: technical and profiling cookies.

Technical cookie
Technical cookies are used for the sole purpose of “permitting the transmission of communication over the internet, or when strictly necessary for a third party for the provision of a service explicitly requested by the subscriber or user”.  See art. 122 (1) of Privacy Code.
Cookies are used to enable user browsing and for the exclusive purpose of providing the service that the user has requested. They are not used for any other purpose.
Without the use of these cookies, some operations could not be carried out or would be more complex and less secure, such as for example home banking operations (viewing of account balance, bank transfers, paying bills etc.) for which cookies, which allow user identification to be processed and maintained, are indispensable.

The following cookies belong to this category:

  • Navigation or session cookies, which guarantee normal web browsing and website use (e.g. making a purchase or performing identity verification in order to access a restricted area). Disabling these cookies may have a negative impact on the performance of websites and render certain functions and services inaccessible.
  • Monitoring cookies (analytics) can be considered technical cookies only when they are directly used by the website manager to gather aggregate information on the number of users and the ways in which they visit the website.
  • Functionality cookies allow the user to browse the site in accordance with a series of selected criteria (such as language preference or products selected for purchase) in order to improve the service provided.

The user’s consent is not required for the installation of this type of cookies, on condition that the website manager respects the obligation to inform the user should they be used, in accordance with art. 13 of the Privacy Code, via appropriate communication methods.

Profiling cookies
Profiling cookies are used to build user profiles and to send advertising messages in line with the preferences and choices that emerge from the user’s internet browsing history. Given the considerable intrusion into the private sphere that these devices can cause, they require the user’s explicit consent.

Third -party cookies
When browsing a website, the user may receive cookies sent from different (third-party) sites or web servers. These cookies could, for example, be linked to services provided by Google Analytics or to active ‘social plugins’ (like Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and LinkedIn), usually for the purpose of content sharing.

How the website uses cookies and for what purposes
The Barchessa Rossetti website does not use profiling cookies.  It may in some cases however, employ technical cookies, in particular session cookies, which are automatically eliminated when the browser is closed, with the purpose of offering certain services such as identity verification to enter restricted areas or for the selection of products to be placed in the basket ready for purchase.
These cookies can be disabled and deleted using the browser settings, as indicated below.  The disabling of these cookies may have a negative impact on the performance of websites and could render certain functions and services inoperative.
Third party cookies are installed for the following purposes: interaction with social networks and external platforms, statistical reasons, the management of payments and the visualisation of content from external platforms.

How to disable cookies
The user can decide whether or not to accept cookies using the browser settings. Most browsers permit the management of cookies (view, enable, disable, cancel) using the settings.
For example, in FIREFOX, by clicking on TOOLS > OPTIONS > PRIVACY, it is possible to access a control panel where the user can choose whether or not to accept different types of cookies or to remove them.
The following sites give instructions on how to adjust cookie settings on some of the most common browsers:

The links cited above may be subject to change from time to time, which are not controlled by Barchessa Rossetti.
The same information however, can be easily accessed using a search engine. If your browser is not included in the list, please refer to the cookies information provided by the browser itself. If you are using a mobile phone, please refer to the user manual for further details.
If the user has disabled some cookies using the browser settings, it is highly recommended that they also delete any pre-existing cookies from their device via the settings before proceeding to disable them.

VOLUNTARY NATURE OF DATA PROVISION
With the exception of data regarding browsing habits, users are free to provide the personal data requested in the website’s online forms in order to receive goods or services and send an information request by e-mail.
Failure to provide data may impair or prevent the provision of the service.

DATA PROCESSING METHODS
Personal data are processed using automated tools only for the time strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which they were originally collected.
Specific security measures are implemented in order to prevent the loss of data, its illicit or incorrect use and un-authorized access to it.

RIGHTS OF DATA SUBJECTS
Data subjects have the right to obtain at any time, confirmation of the existence or otherwise of the relevant data concerned and to be informed of its content and origin, to be able to verify its accuracy or request that it be extended, updated, or corrected. (according to art. 7 "Codice in materia di protezione dei dati personali"/Personal data protection code).
Under the same article, the individuals concerned are entitled to request the deletion, the conversion to an anonymous form or the blocking of any data which has been processed in violation of the law, as well as, in any case, to oppose, for legitimate reasons, its processing.
Such requests should be directed to the Data Processing Holder, Barchessa Rossetti, via e-mail at the following address: info@barchessarossetti.it.

POLICY REGARDING MINORS
No person under the age of 18 years, without the explicit consent of a parent or guardian, is permitted to submit information to the site, nor is it permitted that they shall make purchases or enter into any legal agreement with this site without the above-mentioned consent, unless permitted by current legislation.
